Food For The Poor (FFP) Jamaica wishes to advise the public that, in light of the recent developments with the Coronavirus disease, COVID-19, it has taken the decision to postpone the annual 5k Walk/Run, which was scheduled for Sunday, May 17, 2020. Since this disease is now labelled a pandemic, we felt it was in the best interest of the country to suspend the event based on guidelines regarding public gatherings as issued by the Ministry of Health and Wellness. We use this opportunity to thank you for your continued support and to remind you that you don’t have to physically participate to make a difference. Dear Life Changer,
We have now embarked upon a new and exciting life changing campaign, “ I Pledge To Give A Grandonation”. We invite companies, employees, families and friends to join us once again to assist in our ongoing mission to change the lives of the less fortunate. This is the perfect opportunity to make a personal impact on the lives of the less fortunate that would change their lives forever. This campaign is geared towards raising funds to construct houses for these individuals who are currently homeless or living in very deplorable conditions.
You can play your part by reaching out to all employees and members of your organization and encourage them to pledge to make a difference. For just $1000 per month, which breaks down to about JA $30 per day, you can help to provide a family in need of a new home. All is required is for the pledgee to commit to donate JA $1000 for a period of 3 months, 6 months, 9 months or 12 months. Donations can be made to our National Commercial Bank, St. Jago Branch Account Number: 471043885. The funds accumulated will go directly to the building of the homes for our needy brothers and sisters.
Each home is valued at US $7,200. We only ask that you help us to meet the target of half the amount per house which is US $3,600 and our Food For The Poor head office located in Florida will contribute the other 50 percent in order for us to begin construction of each house.
We would love to partner with you and your organization in this life changing event and would be elated if you allow us the opportunity to come in and speak with the members of your organization to share in the vision of our mission “I Pledge To Give A Grandonation”. You can confirm your appointment date to be either Wednesdays or Thursdays of each week at a time most convenient to you. We are looking forward to your eager participation as we work together in pledging to make a difference.
