CUMI is totally funded and supported from fund-raising activities, gifts-in-kind and donations. Services are offered free of cost to our clients … those who wish/can may make a donation. In 1993 coming out of the late Elizabeth Hall’s vision, CUMI established the Paul Eldemire CUMI JMMB Trust Fund Investment with the intention of creating financial sustainability.
For many years beginning in 2009 the replenishing of the Trust Fund investment came from the income raised from the popular annual fund-raising event CUMI Come Run. This event was organized by the voluntary Fundraising Committee and consisted of a 10K, 5K Run and 5K Run & Walk at the scenic venue of the Tryall Golf course. Unfortunately, it had to be discontinued because of the pandemic. However, September 2021 ushered in the new CUMI Charity Golf Tournament at the same venue. It was a huge success! Hopefully, there will be many more on an annual basis.
